My Mr. Lt.

May I brag for a moment? Thank you. This, friends, is my husband. I know! He is so dang cute I have to tell him at least ten times a day. He doesn't believe me, of course, and always smiles.

                              I melt. Every time.

We met in Colorado three years ago and we married three months ago. I can't believe my good luck with this guy. God really knew what he was doing when he sent us both to Summit Ministries conference in Manitou Springs, CO. We had assigned seats next to one another. Crazy, right? In the photo on the left, we are at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, two years after we first met (that was last year for those of you who aren't so good with the math). He's rockin' the weekend beard here- something I miss now that he is military clean shaven all the time (don't get me wrong, he is dashingly handsome clean shaven as well). I love this man. We have adventures (like driving from Texas to Colorado last year- LONG drive) and he makes life fun.

He pretends to hate me for the camera, but then pulls me close for a sweet forehead kiss (ahh I LOVE those!). We love traveling (--> that photo to the right is in New Mexico during The Drive That Did Not End- aka, our trip to Colorado) and both crave adventures-- mainly through more travel. We're saving our money for a trip to Italy next summer!

He beats me at chess- every stinkin' time. Okay, that's not a fair statement. I think I have only played him one time, but he beat me so soundly and so quickly, that I've been hesitant to try again. For the record, I did once beat him at Scrabble. And I am somehow better then him at team trivia (Taboo etc). However, this man is a whiz at most games. I, on the other hand, am not much of a board game person. I have to be in the right mood for it. ;)

He can be serious (he is a graduate student and an Air Force officer after all) but I love it when he's silly. He makes me laugh all the time and days with him are never dull. How can my life be this awesome? I mean, really, what's the catch?
Are you digging the "Westward Ho" look in the picture to the right? Haha!

But anyways, I'll wind up my rant now, but, if you couldn't tell, I love my husband. He is fantastically good-looking, charming as anything, a southern gentleman (with a Yankee mom and a linguist dad, so no hick accent), and he ADORES me! What's not to love?!

Oh, did I mention he can sing like Louis Armstrong- with the trumpet noise?!!
This guy is unreal.

And he is mine. I love that.
